SOCAP International announced today that Brian Costanzo has accepted its offer to become the new President and CEO.
Brian brings to SOCAP a depth of knowledge, skill and perspective from “both sides of the desk,” having worked as an association executive and as a professional in the hospitality industry.
Brian is currently working as the Sr. Vice President of Business Development at the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) in Washington DC. He has been with EO for about 10 years and was also the Vice President of Membership prior to this role. In these assignments, Brian developed and honed his skills in areas that are vital to SOCAP, including the ability to work collaboratively, share knowledge across diverse industries, build a strong networking organization and grow membership. Brian is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
Prior to joining the EO, Brian worked in the private sector for several hotel chains widely recognized for best-in-class customer service: Hyatt Hotels, Ritz-Carlton and Signature Hospitality Group. By working at every level and in a variety of departments, Brian learned how to satisfy guests and achieve exemplary service. He understands our industry and the competitive advantage that effective customer care brings to business. Brian’s first day will be January 11, 2016.
In the near term, SOCAP’s Interim CEO, Janice Lachance, Esq, FASAE, will continue in her role and support this transition with Brian and get this new era of SOCAP started.
